A note from our founder
I started Body Liberation Collective to build a practice that’s weight-inclusive all the way down, staffed by people who understand this illness, have real compassion for the people living with it, and know how to help things change.
Everyone on this page was chosen for exactly that: real training in eating disorders, a weight-inclusive stance that isn’t negotiable, and the kind of warmth you can feel in the first five minutes.
I do every consultation myself. If we’re the right fit, I’ll match you with the clinician who’s best for you. If we’re not, I’ll tell you, and I’ll point you to someone who is.

Courtney Levy Daniels, LMHC, CBTP®
Founder | Eating Disorder Specialist
Hi, I’m Courtney (she/her)! I’ve spent my career supporting people in making peace with their relationships with food and their bodies. Prior to starting Body Liberation Collective, I worked at Columbus Park, an eating disorder treatment center in Manhattan, and served as a Primary Coach at Eating Disorder Recovery Specialists (EDRS), providing meal support and skills coaching for those in recovery.
I am a Certified Body Trust ® Provider and practice from a trauma-informed, social justice oriented, Health at Every Size (HAES)® framework. I am fat-positive, anti-diet, anti-racist, LGBTQIA+ affirming and center lived experience in my work. As a white, queer, straight-sized, financially secure, Jewish, cisgender woman, I recognize my many privileges and am constantly seeking to examine how they show up, both personally and professionally.
My passion for this work stems from my own experience recovering from an eating disorder, and the harm caused by diet culture. Healing your relationship with food and your body in a world that normalizes disordered behaviors is deeply challenging, especially for those in marginalized bodies. I’m not here to help you conform to societal standards, but to support you in finding freedom and liberation from them.
My style is warm, compassionate and genuine. I believe in collaboration, transparency, and authenticity, not cold, hierarchical therapeutic spaces. It’s a privilege to witness the resilience and stories of the clients I work alongside, and I look forward to getting to know you!

Eating Disorder Specialist
Hi, I’m Jordan (she/her)! I'm passionate about helping people heal their relationships with food, their bodies, and themselves. I specialize in the treatment of eating disorders, body image concerns, complex trauma, relationship challenges, and life transitions.
My work is grounded in an anti-diet, trauma-informed, social justice, and Health at Every Size (HAES)® framework. I don’t see therapy as a place to “fix” what’s broken, but as a collaborative space to explore what’s getting in the way of your most authentic self. Together, we’ll examine patterns that no longer serve you, develop tools for long-term growth, and cultivate self-compassion and empowerment.
You can expect our work to feel warm, collaborative, and real. When appropriate, I make space for lightness, humor, and joy alongside the hard work of growth. I don’t claim to be the expert on your life; instead, I see myself as a partner walking alongside you as you reconnect with your own wisdom and resilience.
Beginning therapy takes courage and I look forward to going on that journey alongside you!

Ruthie Dabah, LCSW
Eating Disorder & EMDR Specialist
Hi, I’m Ruthie (she/her)! I received my MSW at the Silberman School of Social Work at Hunter College. My career started as a clinical social worker at The Jewish Board working with individuals facing a range of challenges including anxiety, depression, borderline personality disorder, schizophrenia, dissociative identity disorder, attachment trauma, PTSD, eating disorders, and survivors of physical and sexual abuse. During my time at The Jewish Board, I had the privilege of facilitating group therapy for teens struggling with socialization and relationship-building.
My passion for this work started as I began to work with client’s struggling with eating disorders. As I continued to learn and increase my knowledge on eating disorders, I began to recognize how many people around me were affected how it was impacting all aspects of their life. I am trained in a variety of therapeutic approaches, including EMDR, TF-CBT, and CBT-E. Additionally, I have completed a 20-hour experiential intro course in Internal Family Systems (IFS).
I create a compassionate and supportive environment where you can feel truly heard and understood. My approach is empathetic and collaborative, allowing us to work together at a pace that feels right for you. We’ll explore what’s not working in your life, identify the changes you want to make and develop a plan to make those changes a reality. I look forward to working together!
