JOIN THE TEAM
We’re looking for a therapist who gets it, not just intellectually, but in their bones.
Body Liberation Collective is a group practice specializing in eating disorders, body image and the complicated relationship between food, identity and self-worth. We work with adults and adolescents (12+) using a HAES-aligned, weight-inclusive, trauma-informed framework. Our clinicians draw from CBT-E, DBT, ACT, psychodynamic approaches, Body Trust, and FBT. We believe that the behaviors people develop around food and their bodies exist for a reason. Understanding that reason is just the beginning. the real work is learning to trust yourself, live in your body, and come back to who you actually are.
We have a new Scarsdale office and we're looking for the right person to grow with us.
A note on location: This is a hybrid role: 1–2 days per week in-person at our Scarsdale, NY office, with the rest virtual. Based in the city? Scarsdale is a 35–40 minute reverse commute on Metro-North from Grand Central, and our office is a 2 minute walk from the station.
Who You Are
You’re a Licensed Mental Health Counselor (LMHC), Licensed Clinical Social Worker (LCSW) or MHC with a limited permit in New York who has experience, or a real hunger to develop expertise, working with eating disorders. You know why weight stigma matters clinically, not just ethically. You’re comfortable sitting with the hard stuff and genuinely excited about being part of a collaborative, growing team.
What The Role Looks Like

W2 employee, fee-for-service
$100–$150/session depending on licensure and experience
Building to a caseload of 15+ sessions/week
Weekly individual supervision with Courtney (hours count toward LMHC licensure for pre-licensed clinicians)
Ongoing training and case consultation
Real input into how we grow
What We’re Looking For
NY licensure (LMHC, LMSW or MHC-LP)
Experience with eating disorders or a strong foundation in HAES and a genuine desire to specialize
Social justice orientation, fat positivity, and an understanding of how race, gender, body size, disability and other identities shape the therapeutic relationship
Ability to work in-person in Scarsdale, NY 1–2 days per week (Metro-North accessible from NYC)
Licensure in NJ and/or CT is a plus
Experience or interest in Family-Based Treatment (FBT) is a plus
