EATING DISORDER THERAPY
IN NYC & WEstCHESTER
If you feel controlled by rigid food rules, stuck in cycles of restriction or bingeing, overwhelmed by thoughts about your body, or using eating disorder behaviors to cope, you're not alone in this.
We've spent our careers working with people who feel exactly this way. And we've seen, time and time again, that things can be different. Not by trying harder or finding more willpower, but by understanding what's actually driving the behaviors and building something more sustainable in its place.
Who We Support
We support adults, adolescents and teens navigating:
Anorexia
Bulimia
Binge Eating Disorder
ARFID
OSFED
Orthorexia
Disordered eating and chronic dieting
Body image distress
Eating disorders often coexist with anxiety, depression, OCD, substance use, mood disorders, and trauma. Our therapists are experienced in working with these complexities and integrate appropriate support as needed.
Our Approach to Eating Disorder Treatment
We specialize. Exclusively.
Every clinician at Body Liberation Collective has advanced training in eating disorders. This isn't a general practice that sees the occasional eating disorder client. It's all we do, and that focus matters.
Courtney Daniels, our founder, trained as a primary therapist at a top NYC eating disorder treatment center and is a Certified Body Trust Provider. Our team brings experience across outpatient, IOP, and higher levels of care.
We get to the root.
We believe eating disorder behaviors developed for a reason. Maybe they helped you cope, feel safe, communicate something that couldn't be said out loud or create a sense of control during overwhelming times.
In our work together, we’ll explore the role your eating disorder has played, identify alternative ways to get your needs met, and gently dismantle what’s no longer serving you so you can move toward a life that feels more authentic, grounded and aligned with your values.
We're weight-inclusive. Genuinely.
All of our work is rooted in Health at Every Size and Body Trust principles. We never pursue weight loss as a treatment goal. When weight restoration is medically necessary, we approach it without shame or diet culture messaging. We take an explicitly weight-neutral stance — not as a tagline, but as a clinical commitment.
We're integrative, not rigid.
Our work is grounded in evidence-based care and delivered through a body liberation and weight-inclusive lens.
Our therapists draw from:
Body Trust
Psychodynamic Therapy
Enhanced CBT (CBT-E)
DBT
Family-Based Treatment (FBT)
ACT
Relational Approaches
NeuroAffective Relational Model (NARM)
What we use depends on you: your history, your needs, your goals.

Finding the right therapist matters, especially for something this complex. Not all therapists are trained in eating disorders and working with a specialist makes a meaningful difference.
Fit matters too. The therapeutic relationship is one of the strongest predictors of outcomes in eating disorder treatment. Take the time to find someone who feels right.
